For business to take greater responsibility for its impact on society requires a robust framework for corporate governance that can address and balance the needs and expectations of both shareholders and society. The corporate governance systems of the late 20th century, with their primary focus on regulatory compliance and monitoring, are proving increasingly ill-equipped to this task. Through our corporate governance program, we work with corporate directors, executives, investors and experts to explore practical approaches and ideas for new frameworks for corporate governance equal to the challenges of 21st century corporate responsibility and leadership.
